Cody came to live with us in September of 2001.  He was a rescue from a nearby home.  The people who owned him previously didn't have enough time to devote to a dog with such a high level of energy.  He fit into our home well and became cattle dog #2.

Cody trained in obedience and herding.  He earned two legs of his CD and was working on the third when he got sick.

In October of 2003, Cody began to lose weight and had unstoppable diahrea.  After many tests and medications, Cody lost still more weight.  He went from a healthy 67 pounds to 45 pounds in just two months.  On January 2, 2004, we decided it was time to help Cody to the Rainbow Bridge.  It was a hard decision to make, but it was time.   We miss him dearly and hope he's chasing sheep at the Bridge.
