Mattie was a rescue puppy that we adopted from Janice Taylor of CattleMaster Kennels. Mattie’s parents were owned by a family of Canadian nationals living abroad in Australia. After living in Australia for close to 2 decades they returned to Canada, leaving behind one son, and bringing along 2 other children and their 2 dogs (Zipp and Jack). Things changed, as they often do, and the couple decided to return to Australia. When they looked into returning with their dogs, they found it to be financially prohibitive, and they placed the dogs (and the litter Zipp was carrying) into rescue. Mattie is from this litter.
